Oh my. My cousin used to say Da-ness-sa! My sister could only manage 'Nessa or Ba-Nessa. Most people can say my name, more than a few can't spell it. Venessa, Vannessa, Vennessa, etc. Christmas cards were always a source of amusement for me for this reason.

How is it supposed to sound? Va-Neh-sa  (I guess?)

It depends on the day. Erratic, academic and friendly for the most part

It has been a dream of mine to visit Japan, especially Kyoto and stay at the guest houses and watch the Geisha perform kabuki and take part in a tea ceremony. I would take Philip with me and we would travel around Japan on their extensive rail system and stay in a Ryokan
